Tangier on the screen has attracted many familiar characters, from James Bond to Lemmy Caution. Leading directors from Bertolucci to Cronenberg, Freda to Sternberg. Dream actors and actresses such as Marlene Dietrich, Gary Cooper, Jack Palance and Tony Curtis. But Tangier, as seen through the eyes of cinema, is also home to a host of forgotten and anonymous people who have passed through these films and this city. At a time when the number of cinemas is dwindling to a trickle, the aim is to save what's left of Tangier's cinephilic memory, through the contributions of passionate young cinephiles and the collections of old-timers.
