This project emerges from a fundamental desire to share.
The book functions as an open invitation to engage with a journey, a creative practice, and a singular way of seeing.
Presented as an archive, almost like a backstage, it offers insight into Philippe Munda’s artistic trajectory. The artist reveals himself through the continuum of his life — through what he has observed, experienced, and photographed. The narrative is structured as a play on letters, an abecedary from A to E. Beginning with the “A” of the narrator celebrated by Warhol, it progresses toward the “E” of Eux (“Them”), tracing a dialogue between the self and the world. The sequence may also be read as a subtle homage to Perec, whose way of inhabiting words offers a model for capturing reality.
Rooted entirely in lived experience, Philippe Munda’s work affirms his practice as a photographer, one in which image and memory intertwine to illuminate perception and presence.
The book will be presented at the 40th International Festival of Fashion, Photography, and Accessories – Hyères, France from October 16 to 19, 2025

PHILIPPE MUNDA
Philippe Munda is a French photographer. He has been published in numerous style magazines, from Vogue Living to View on Color, Citizen K, and The Guardian. His work also includes managing archives, both of his own photographic productions (exhibition “It’s a Model”) and those of art centers (cneai= photothèque), art magazines (website “archivebananasplit.xyz”), as well as artists and publishers (book “Histoire d’un [vrai] faux”). He is the founder of Salon du Salon, an exhibition and publishing project (salondusalon.com).
LINKS TO DESIRE
Philippe Munda has a particular way of allowing himself to be guided by coincidences, ineluctably connected to desire. But rather than being linear, this desire enters into a game of echoes with his own work or that of other artists, opening up hypotheses and turning hesitation into an art form that suspends his life and his view to the world.

INTRODUCTION TO FAITH
Philippe Munda has such an impressive dossier of personal work that we knew immediately we had found our star photographer for the introduction of View On Colour magazine (“Faith”). After studying photography, he began to work with contemporary artists, from Pierre Joseph to Noriko Sunayama and Anna Adahl. His work is rich with raw, spontaneous feeling.
