SURFACE
It's summer, SALON DU SALON, Marseille, an apartment in the avenue du Prado. The characters move in various rooms: sleeping, washing, eating, reading. Marc-Antoine Serra photographed them in situ, and the photographs were exhibited both in those rooms and in the chapters of a book. The last chapter includes a text by Jean-Jacques Viton, who was then out in the country; the title of the show and of the book that you are holding in your hands is that of one his books published by P.O.L.

4TH COVER PAGE
Who's moving? Who's sitting? What is a body reading? Washing? Eating? Does the light go up or down? Who's holding the camera? Who talked about beauty? About languor? Where is the arrow pointing? Where is the heart beating? What is the heart of a book? Canary yellow or cherry green? At the bottom of the stairs or behind the door? What day and what summer? Did the boys stop moving? The water stop running? Wasn't it night? Outside, throughout the city? A burial of occult murders? Where? When? How? A form of repetition? And the silence? What do you make of the silence? What stories there are...
